Working from 3LapsDown’s design, ROAR developed the WordPress theme and two custom plugins that connect editorial storytelling with race data and fan participation.
A custom editorial foundation
A Sage-based theme with reusable content blocks and dedicated layouts for stories, seasons, and venues gives the editorial team a flexible way to publish.
Race data, made explorable
A custom WordPress plugin connects a PostgreSQL racing database to Vue interfaces through dedicated REST API endpoints. Fans explore results, standings, and venue history with filters for sport, season, class, and manufacturer, while URL-based filter states make specific views shareable.
Trivia built into the experience
A custom WordPress plugin lets editors create racing quizzes. Fans submit an answer and see the correct option, an explanation, and how the community responded.
