A website has more than
one audience.
For the visitor
A clear route from curiosity to practical information: what to see, how to prepare, and where to book.
For the program
Space for collections, temporary exhibitions, talks and cultural events, with artwork, interpretation and practical details presented together.
For the institution
A project scope shaped around your content, languages, publishing needs, and existing services.
Museums · Exhibitions · Cultural organizations
Permanent collections.
Time-limited experiences.
Museums & heritage
Connect collections, research and education with practical visit planning. Give different audiences a clear route to the information they need.
Exhibitions & cultural events
Bring the exhibition story, dates, venue, program and booking links together. Plan what happens to the content after the event ends, too.
Cultural organizations
Organize changing programs, projects and resources within a coherent website. Define publishing responsibilities, language requirements and existing service connections from the start.
Before we begin
Cultural website questions.
Who designs and develops the museum websites?
Viva handles design and Roar Creative handles web development. This is the collaboration behind the Pinacoteca di Brera and Museo del Cenacolo Vinciano website projects featured here.
What should a museum website help visitors do?
Find practical visit information, discover collections and exhibitions, and reach the correct ticketing service. The scope should also reflect the needs of educators, researchers, and other audiences the institution serves.
Can we keep our existing ticketing provider?
An external booking service can remain part of the visitor journey. We would review its links, handoff, and available integration options before proposing an implementation. These project examples link to external ticketing services.
Do you work on websites for exhibitions and cultural events?
Our design and development offer also covers exhibition websites and cultural programs. A project can focus on a temporary exhibition or a wider institutional website, with scope based on the program, dates, content, languages, and booking requirements.
Does an exhibition need a separate website?
Not always. A dedicated section within your existing website may be enough. A standalone site can make sense when the exhibition has its own identity, partners, or publishing needs. We would assess that before recommending a build.
How do you scope a museum or cultural website project?
Start with the current website, the content that needs to move, required languages, visitor tasks, and third-party services. We use those requirements to discuss development scope and a project-specific estimate.
